A1 Cars are a family-run private hire taxi company operating from St Ives in Cornwall and offering a professional taxi service for private and group hire.
Our fleet of taxis offer a private hire taxi service, airport taxi service,sightseeing tours, and delivery service around St Ives and Cornwall. A1 Cars was launched in April 2017 by husband and wife team Aaron (born and bred in St Ives) and Laura with a team of local professional taxi drivers.
There are a variety of four-seater, six-seater, and minibus-sized private taxi hire options available for local customers and holidaymakers in Cornwall. Our office is based at St Eia House, Market Place, St Ives.

Airport Runs from St Ives, Cornwall
We offer private tours, which can be booked per hour by ringing 01736 797700. We also have an online booking option on this page – see below. Some of the popular sightseeing locations in Cornwall we cover in our tours include Botallack Mine, Sennen Cove, the Minack Theatre, St Micheal’s mount, Kynance Cove, Fal River, the Maritime Heritage Museum, Watergate Bay, the Eden Project, Geevor Tin Mine, Hall for Cornwall, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Tintagel Castle. We will take a booking and a deposit in advance. Bookings for sightseeing tours in Cornwall with A1 Cars can be made weeks or months in advance. Our sightseeing tours of Cornwall can be secured with a deposit of £45 for a private hire booking, or £15 for a group hire booking. Ask when you book.

A1 cars also provide airport runs to other UK airports, including Birmingham and Manchester. Prices are provided per each individual booking made.
Our airport run taxi service is provided in large comfortable vehicles with ample room for up to six people plus luggage. Ask us for further details.
We usually take a 50% deposit for airport runs when made for airports out of Cornwall, or if we are collecting from an airport that is outside of Cornwall.
