Built in 2020, the four cottages exemplify modern architecture.  Fully insulated and double glazed, the underfloor heating throughout downstairs and the bathrooms and the heated towel rails are powered by green energy from the air source heat pumps on each cottage. It’s a joy to walk around barefooted here both Summer and Winter!

Lots of natural light floods in downstairs from the wide double French doors from the patio garden and dual aspect windows in the kitchen and living area, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces, and offering a constant connection to the surrounding countryside. We also have eco- friendly LED lighting which can be dimmed for ambient lighting in the evening.

We love to support local businesses, and our hand- crafted English leather sofas were purchased locally in Penzance at the multi-generational family run Alfred Smith & Sons, along with all the Hypnos beds, curtains and carpets  combining both comfort and practicality for our dog loving eco conscious community of guests here at The Woodland Collection.

The lounge area complete with Smart TV and remote control fireplace is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The granite topped kitchen is fully fitted with appliances including a ceramic hob and dishwasher with a separate laundry room with a washing machine, and a downstairs bathroom.

Continuing the stylish theme running throughout, upstairs, the master suite is finished in a neutral palette to ensure a blissful night’s sleep with a Juliette balcony with stunning views down across the valley.

 

The en suite shower room has a heated towel rail, underfloor heating, and a large raindrop shower. All three bedrooms have top of the range supportive HYPNOS beds. There is a second double en-suite with a king-sized bed and a third bedroom with bunk beds and en-suite. Crisp white linen and bath towels are provided.

​OUTSIDE

Heading outside, the flat garden has been beautifully designed by the owners and RHS Chelsea gold medal-winning designers with a vertical wall of stunning Succulents in each enclosed garden and a rockery and paved patio facing West, perfect for BBQs and a glass of wine on a summer’s evening, watching the sunset over St Ives in the distance.

 

Bifold fences between each pair can be opened up if guests are from the same party. There is plenty of free off-road parking and outdoor showers for dogs and surfboards.

LOCATION

An idyllic location at the narrowest part of England where just 6 miles separates the North and South coast, there are many sandy beaches just 10 minutes away by car or 15 minutes by bicycle as well as towns like Hayle and Marazion.  St Ives, Porthleven, Helston and Penzance are just 20 minutes away too so there is plenty to see and do from this central location in West Cornwall. Enjoy boutique shops in picturesque towns, take a boat trip in Mounts Bay or explore the wild flower meadows and woods on your doorstep and the many walking trails that surround The Woodland Collection.
